Women & Teen Empowerment

Private instruction, classes and workshop groups that an offer yoga and/or an empowering blend of self-defense, awareness of energy, and yoga with specific asanas (postures) that will improve self-defense strategies and strengths.
Specialty classes inform women about the energy and creative power of the of the heart/womb, 2nd chakra involved in creativity, power, and sexuality.
This work is for women who have experienced early menopause, miscarriage, abortion, and/or have concerns of intimacy and sensuality.

Yoga/Workshops
My teaching style is respectful, warm, and supportive, encouraging with a positive tone of lightness and humor. There is no rigid harsh dogma or intimidation in class or in private session, including those for therapeutic or specific needs.

If you are looking for a martial art school to guide you in a specific style, or to make a commitment to years of study and formal training to earn a black belt, please look elsewhere, there are many fine schools to help you. I have a great appreciation for the martial arts and I have studied a little bit over the years, but I am not a black belt, nor am I a martial arts instructor.

My focus as a self-defense instructor for women and teens combines the teachings of the bodymind techniques mentioned above with my healing and listening skills, and my background as a sexual assault/rape crisis counselor. My training over the years in women's self-defense includes: Wen-Do, certification with Defend University and with RAD.
