Shedding the Old Self

A snake sheds its skin when its insides become bigger than its outside.  When you grow on the inside the 'old you' might also become distressed during the chaotic time of transition.

You may feel quite nervous and anxious, or frustrated, unclear, uncomfortable in your own skin as it prepares to loosen and shed away the old in order to reveal a new phase of life--And you might want to just hide under a rock or scrape away at the experiences you fear or no longer need.

You may be feeling shame, low self-esteem, or be consumed with the strange sense that you have lost your purpose and direction, fallen from your life path and the old way of  knowing yourself.

Letting go of the old self can be deeply freeing and/or a tremendous struggle, a time of painful contraction--this can be the case even when the old self no longer *fits* the new you that is attempting to emerge.

Knowing that life can have many bumps in the road it is helpful to have a skilled and unbiased guide by your side who will help illuminate your path and support your 'birth' into a new phase of being--the next chapter of your soul story.
